1907 American Advertising Postcard - Bickmore No. 1 Ointment - Franklin Stamp - Dest. Charente.Authentic vintage document: a rare advertising postcard of significant historical and philatelic value, issued by the famous American company Bickmore Gall Cure Co. (Old Town, Maine, USA) and received in France in 1907 (Belle Époque).This copy is No. 1 in the advertising series sent by the brand. On the front (advertisement in French) is a superb two-color illustration by the American artists “Muses & Helm N.Y.,” featuring Uncle Sam and the galloping horse logo. A long, detailed text aimed at breeders and farmers, accompanied by a sidebar titled “The Old Gray Horse at Work,” extolling the merits of the American ointment “Bickmorine.” The classification “Card No. 1” is visible in the lower left corner.On the reverse: Original postage with an authentic green one-cent American stamp (One Cent—Benjamin Franklin) that has been canceled. French post office arrival stamp, perfectly imprinted and legible: AIGRE CHARENTE—MAY 4, 1907. The address is handwritten in pen and addressed to Mr. Gaillard in Charente.
