[BISSIÈRE Roger - SAINT FRANCOIS D'ASSISE] - Cantique à notre Frère Soleil - Paris, Édition Jeanne Bucher, 1953-1954 - In-folio in sheets - dim. subject/cuvette: 25 x 17 cm - filled parchment cover, text engraved on the first cover - edition of the famous cantique by Saint François d'Assise, entirely woodcut by Marcel Fiorini under the direction of Roger Bissière. The title and 10 pages of text are engraved after the painter's gouaches and printed in color - Edition of 48 copies on Richard de Bas Auvergne paper, signed by the painter and engraver, including 7 hors commerce - Our copy annotated "Exemplaire d'artiste".
(a few stains on the first cover - some scattered spotting and foxing)
Note: The book was printed in such a way that the folding of the leaves occupies the gutter and not the spine of the volume.
