Satsuma earthenware lot with polychrome decoration and gold highlights, comprising an ovoid-shaped covered pot decorated on the belly with cordial and moving reserves featuring numerous sages crouching cross-legged against a background of semis of dots echoed on the lid, the fretel simulating a flower bud, and a flattened round-shaped covered bonbonnière with similar decorations, the belly embellished with a frieze of lozenges, flower buds and water leaves. The interior reveals two historiated lake scenes. Mark on reverse.
