Clock and stand in blackened wood and tortoiseshell inlaid with brass fillets, decorated with foliate scrolls. The violin-shaped clock features a white enameled dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, surrounding a railway track, and cut-out hands. It is surmounted by a mascaron and features a spinning top at the base, and stands on four arched feet. The stand is decorated with a "rappel" pattern.
