Note: Janine de Lorière, a stylist by trade, learned the technique of vitrified enamel on steel fired "à grand feu" ( 900° Celsius) at the Romacrea School of Art in Rome, directed by Professor Oliviero Leonardi, who was also her companion for 50 years.
In the 1970s and 1980s, she exhibited her work with the maestro, first in Italy at the "San Vitale" art gallery in Bologna, then in Germany at the Bernard Weber gallery in Mannheim, at the Baden - Baden gallery in Baden - Baden, and at the Biarritz gallery in France. She has received critical acclaim from Gustav René Hocke, Luigi Meneghelli, Irène Schreeder and Elio Mercuri.
