Pair of large, covered, polychrome-enameled vases, the sides adorned with a brocade drape overlaid with floral scrolls, and enhanced by two handles formed by karako (Chinese children) holding rings from which bows are suspended, The lids are decorated in the same way as the draperies, and surmounted by a Rakan (Buddhist saint) in the round, depicted seated, one raising a bowl, the other holding a bell.
