Moulded, carved, painted and gilded wood Kavukluk turban stand, the curved top hemmed with twisted and scalloped ribbons, rests on inverted console jambs embellished with pearl garlands and laurel festoons. The upper part features warrior attributes set in a moving reserve surmounted by an urn flanked by two minarets joined by garlands of falling flowers. Turkey - 18th century. (tray partly detached, some accidents and missing parts, worm holes). Height : 95 cm - Width : 33 cm - Depth : 26 cm Note : By family tradition, offered by the Sultan of Constantinople to the painter Émile Charles LABBE, decorator of his Palace, then by succession.
