Moulded, carved, painted and gilded wood Kavukluk turban stand, the curved top hemmed with twisted and scalloped ribbons, rests on inverted console jambs embellished with pearl garlands and laurel festoons. The upper part features warrior attributes set in a moving reserve surmounted by an urn flanked by two minarets joined by garlands of falling flowers.
Turkey - 18th century.
(tray partly detached, some accidents and missing parts, worm holes).
