Chinese rug (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), probably knotted in the Peking or Ningxia region, China, circa 1930-1970 309 x 214.5 cm The rug features a central polychrome rosette on a violet background, enhanced by small flowering vases. The whole composition is embellished with four spandrels. A navy blue border with a succession of small lozenges and framed by cartouches with floral motifs surrounds the composition. (Stains, small moth holes).
