Original Etching by Norbert GOENEUTTE (1854–1894) — "The Ele - Lot 673
Original Etching by Norbert GOENEUTTE (1854–1894) — "The Elegant Lady at the Longchamp Races." An authentic and rare original etching by Norbert GOENEUTTE, a leading painter, pastel artist, and printmaker of the Impressionist movement (close to Renoir, Manet, and Degas). Created circa 1880–1882. This highly refined work, titled “The Elegant Lady at the Races,” depicts a society woman in formal attire holding her parasol, with the wooden grandstands and the crowd at a Parisian racetrack during the Belle Époque visible in the background. A composition of great historical and aesthetic value, it beautifully captures 19th-century Parisian high society.
