BRUNFAUT A régulateur clock with two patinas and beige marble; the round dial displays the hours in Arabic numerals, is edged with a frieze of ovals, and is set within a frame adorned with foliage, scrolls, palmettes, scalloped ribbons, topped by a covered vase ending in a flame and adorned with a frieze of cascading flowers. It is flanked by a full-length figure of Diana the Huntress holding a bow and game. It rests on a rectangular base with a dovetail edge, fringed with a gilded Regule-style gallery decorated with channels and asparagus spears, centered by an applied medallion depicting a female bust in profile, surmounted by knotted ribbons. It rests on four legs, the front claw-shaped legs adorned with scrollwork and pearl friezes, the rear legs serving as consoles. Late 19th century Signed on the back.
