It’s starting to get cold, and it’s been raining for two days.” The card is addressed to an engineer based in Niort in the Deux-Sèvres department (79). The centerpiece of this document is its superb original oval purple stamp from the medical service: “MEDICAL TRAIN S.P. 14 STATE _ CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER.” The postcard also features a beautiful original black circular postmark from the Gare de la Somme (80) dated September 15, 1915.
