Black German elite troops dagger, 1933 model, 220 mm blade engraved on the front with the Sütterlin motto "Meine ehre heist treue" (My honor is called loyalty) and on the back with the Herder Solingen manufacturer's logo with logo in the center of the marking, black ebony handle with eagle and enameled rune lozenge, black scabbard with two silver fittings, hilt stamped 38117, scabbard paint chipped and missing, traces on blade, wear, oxidation, TL 372 mm, Germany WWII era.
This dagger was attributed to Gottlob WANDEL , born on 19/02/1910, serial number 38117. Promoted to Obersturmführer on September 11, 1938, he was head of the Stuttgart SD, then in 1944-45 head of the main SD office in Bregenz.
